Versus

Middletown High School

A Special Night

After saying goodbye to one of our extended family, the Polar Bears took the field tonight in a purple blur.  From the opening whistle to the final minutes of the game, Northern simply dominated the unfortunate Blue Raiders from Middletown.  Sophomore Michael Davies ran wild scoring his first and second Varsity touchdowns and churning up yardage in a game dedicated to his father Scott who left us last week, much too early.  The Colby to Corey connection was alive as Corey had more than 120 yards receiving and one particular touchdown where he had perfect extension, parallel to the ground.  It was true highlight reel stuff.

The defense was smothering.  Middletown was sacked and hammered, sacked and hammered all night long.  At one point, Brandon Adams tackled the ball carrier along with half of the offensive line.  Senior Craig Moose delivered crushing blows to anyone who carried the ball anywhere near him while the secondary covered like a blanket.

With four games to go, Northern's train is churning at full speed.  Next on the schedule is East Penn.  It is a huge game for the Bears both for the division and for future playoff consideration.  The place to be next Friday night will be Bostic.

Next Week vs. East Pennsboro at Bostic Stadium.  Kickoff is at 7:30 P.M.
