Northern 35 – Shippensburg 21
In a hard fought struggle between two quality District 3 AAA
Playoff teams, the 2007 Northern Polar Bears secured their place in history by
finishing the regular season a perfect 10-0 while ending Shippensburg’s quest
to share in the Colonial Division Championship.

leading 21-14.
The third quarter saw the teams trade possessions but Northern
again struck pay dirt when Jordan Rutherford called his own number for the
second time in the contest and scored from 3 yards out. The two touchdown lead was short-lived again
as Shippensburg broke a big return on the kickoff. Two plays later, the Hounds scored again when
Naylor went in again from 4 yards out.
After the momentum changing touchdown, Northern received the kickoff and
The Northern Polar Bears completed their second straight
