Coach Mauck's Grid Iron Prep Football Camp

2005

The footballs are flying again at Northern.

Everybody looks forward to Coach Mauck's Gridiron Prep Camp where players of all ages come together to start the season.  The camp has been a rousing success and this year is no exception.  With capacity numbers, camp began with perfect weather and more players than have ever been registered.  The camp was visited by Fox 43 Television, CBS 21 TV, and several local papers.  The camp emphasizes basic fundamentals and outright fun.

Big 33 Coach, Rick Mauck, has again assembled a roster of talent in the coaching ranks to work with these young men.  Northern and West Virginia Alum, Big "R" Ryan Thomas is back as is Penn State Cornerback Brent Wise.  Brent brought along fellow Nittany Lion, Tailback Austin Scott.  Darwin Breaux from Dickinson College brought several members of his staff to work with the line and receivers.  Many of Northern's own football staff were on hand as were Varsity Alumni, Troy Summey, Zach Rutherford, Jason Sheffer, Josh McAleer, Spenser Shumaker, and Adam Frazier.
